Mel completed a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) at the University of South Africa in 2006. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant overseas in 2007 and earned his Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2018. Mel joined PAND in 2024.
Mel has experience providing financial statement audit services to publicly listed and private entities across various sectors, including, manufacturing, construction, airlines, hospitality, real estate, oil and gas, mining, and technology. With over 20 years of public accounting experience, he has developed expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards. In his current role, Mel advises mid-market businesses, assists with complex accounting matters, supports audit teams, and ensures compliance with professional standards.
In his free time, Mel enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, improving his ice-skating skills, and playing soccer in the summer
