Cody Awid

Cody joined the PAND team in 2008 as a Co-op student. A local Edmontonian and a graduate of the University of Alberta, he returned to PAND to continue his education and obtained his designation in 2012. Cody has nine years of experience working with owner-manager, privately held companies and not-for-profit organizations in a wide variety of industries including heavy truck and automotive dealerships, equipment rental and repair, construction and drilling, and oilfield services. He serves his clients as a trusted business advisor in a wide range of services including accounting, assurance, internal controls, business processes and tax strategies.

In his spare time, Cody enjoys being with his family and being active outside. He is an avid sports fan and league manager of PAND’s fantasy football league.

Peter Blasetti

Peter has significant experience in providing accounting, audit and related services to clients in the agriculture, heavy truck and auto dealer, distribution, and oilfield services industries. Since joining PAND in 2000, Peter has served primarily mid to large sized owner-managed companies as well as some public companies, First Nations groups, and non-profit organizations.

Peter also has experience providing specialized services to his clients including assisting with financing matters, internal audit and control processes, taxation issues, due diligence reviews and purchase investigations.

Jason Brooks

After receiving his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, Jason spent eight years in the banking industry before joining PAND to work on his Charter Accountant designation, which he earned in 2015.

Since joining PAND in 2012, he has served small, medium, and large owner-managed private companies, and continues to assist clients with financing matters, internal audit and control processes, corporate taxation issues and system conversions.

Prior to becoming a CA, Jason played volleyball for three successful seasons with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.  Jason enjoys helping coach his son’s soccer team and watching his daughter’s dance recitals.

Ken Chamberlain

Ken completed his Bachelor of Commerce from MacEwan University in 2013 and began his career at PAND shortly thereafter. In 2014 he successfully passed the UFE and in 2016 he obtained his designation as a Chartered Accountant. Continuing his education, Ken began the Chartered Business Valuator program in 2015 and will be completed in 2018.

Over his career Ken has provided accounting and assurance services for small, medium, and large clients as well as worked with the financial advisory team assisting with valuations and due diligence.

In his free time, Ken sits as the Treasurer of a condo board and plays competitive volleyball in various leagues around the city.

Fabiana Diogenes

After completing her Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Fabiana earned her Chartered Accountant professional designation in 2007. She left public practice in 2008, and took over positions as financial and accounting manager and Director of Finance in special purpose entities in Brazil established to develop wind power projects and a thermal power plant on behalf of publicly held companies.  During her time as Financial Director, she was integrally involved in obtaining senior debt funding of over $1 billion and oversaw asset values in excess of $3 billion. After moving back to Edmonton, she elected to return to public practice and rejoined PAND where she is able to use the skills she developed in the Industry to assist clients. Fabiana sits on the Board of directors of the Brazilian Association in Edmonton.

Tristan Gilbertson

Tristan obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2001 and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2005. He has also completed all three levels of CICA In-Depth Tax Program.

Tristan has experience serving a wide variety of clients including manufacturing companies, oil & gas service companies, heavy truck and auto dealerships, real estate companies, investment holding corporations, and professional corporations.

Tristan joined PAND in October of 2014 after spending twelve years with the international accounting firm Deloitte. Tristan is specialized in tax, and is focused towards assisting private companies and their owners in compliance and planning matters.

Tristan is active in the Alberta tennis community. Prior to becoming a CA, Tristan played four seasons with the University of Alberta Golden Bears and represented Canada at the 2001 World University games in Beijing, China.

Sonia Granson

Sonia has significant experience in providing accounting, audit and related services to clients in the real estate, agriculture, automotive dealership, manufacturing, distribution and oilfield services industries. Since joining PAND in 1998, Sonia has served large, medium and small owner-managed enterprises as well as public companies and non-profit organizations.

Sonia also enjoys providing specialized services to her clients and has assisted with financing matters, internal audit and control processes, taxation issues, due diligence reviews and purchase investigations.

Alex Harcott

Alex obtained his Bachelor of commerce from the University of Alberta in 2010 and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2012.

Alex joined PAND as a designated professional in October 2013. He completed a summer work term at MNP in 2009 and completed his Chartered Accountant designation while working full time at MNP from March 2010 to September 2013.

He has served a variety of clients including large, medium and small owner-manager private companies and various not-for-profit organizations, and he continues to assist clients with internal audit and control processes, taxation issues and due diligence.

Alex has assisted in the tracking and reconciliation involved in a partnership with more than fifty investors for a local land development business.

Dustin Haekel

Since joining PAND in 2005, Dustin has served large, medium and small owner-managed enterprises. Dustin has considerable experience in providing accounting, audit and related services to clients in various industries including hospitality, equipment rental and repair, vehicle dealerships and oilfield transportation, construction and drilling services. Dustin also has experience providing specialized services to his clients including performing due diligence and assisting with financing matters, internal audit control processes and taxation issues.

Jenna Huesing

Jenna obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2010 and earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2013.

Jenna is in her second year of the three year CPA In-depth Tax Program, slated for completion in the summer of 2016.

Since joining PAND as a cooperative education student in January 2010 and continuing with the Firm upon graduation and through the completion of her Chartered Accountant designation, Jenna has served a variety of clients including large, medium and small owner managed private companies. Jenna continues to assist clients with financing matters, internal audit and control processes and taxation issues. She is also part of the personal tax section of the firm and focuses on providing tax compliance and advisory services.

Christina Lailey

Christina obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2013, and successfully wrote the UFE in September 2014.

Throughout her time with PAND, Christina has provided accounting, tax and auditing services to owner-managed businesses in a variety of industries including the automotive, oilfield support, and construction industries. Christina also spearheads the articling student training at PAND.

In her free time, Christina enjoys travelling and teaching dance to children and adults, which she has done for upwards of ten years.

Raymie Libke

Raymie joined PAND in 2003 as a summer student, while obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta. She continued on with the firm and earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2007.

Raymie briefly left PAND for a few years while she had children and ended up running her own small practice from home during that time.  As such, she has extensive experience with small business and personal tax clients and understands the plights of the self-employed.

Since returning to the firm, and in her time here before, she has served a variety of clients including large, medium and small owner-manager private companies and various not-for-profit organizations. She continues to provide accounting and assurance services to clients in the automotive, oilfield, retail, real estate and manufacturing industries.

Raymie has recently taken up snowboarding and has somehow managed not to break any bones…yet.

Jeanine Losty

Jeanine leads the personal tax section of the Firm and has significant experience with estate and trust related services. Jeanine focuses on providing tax compliance and advisory services to private companies and their shareholders. Since joining PAND in 1999, Jeanine has served a wide variety of clients including those in the retail and hospitality, auto dealer, non-profit and oilfield services sectors.

Rick Morrison

Rick has broad experience providing accounting and tax services to owner-managed businesses in a variety of industry sectors. Prior to joining the Firm in 2008, Rick owned and operated his own accounting practice for 18 years, specializing in services required by small to medium-sized private companies. Since joining PAND, Rick has been responsible for managing the corporate tax compliance section of the Firm. He also has significant experience with corporate reorganizations and has performed tax due diligence reviews on acquisitions.

Lora Neufeld

Lora obtained her Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2006 and earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2009.

While completing university, Lora worked in a managerial position within the service industry as a bookkeeper for a small construction company and since joining PAND she continues to work closely with clients in the farming, oilfield, construction and grocery industries.

Lora works with a wide variety of clients ranging from small to large private companies and partnerships.  A significant portion of her time involves helping clients with personal and corporate taxation issues.

Nicole Petroskey

Nicole obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2009 and earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2015.   Since joining PAND as an articling student in 2012, Nicole has served a variety of clients including real estate, vehicle dealerships, not-for-profits, and manufacturing.  She assists clients with taxation issues and internal audit and control processes.  In her free time, Nicole enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures.

David Stefanyk

David joined PAND in 2014 after graduating from the University of Alberta. He successfully wrote the common final exam in 2016, earning his designation of Chartered Professional Accountant in the following year. After writing his exam he went on a vacation, which was highlighted by his visit to the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland.

As one of the newer additions to PAND, he has already served a wide variety of clients including not-for-profit organizations, small and large owner-managed companies in a variety of industries.

David plays on and organizes PAND’s hockey team the Broncos.

Karen Stewart

Karen has extensive experience working with medium and small owner-managed clients, providing audit and accounting services as well as assisting various clients with acquisitions and sales of businesses. Prior to joining PAND in 1998, Karen worked for over six years with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.

Karen’s clients include privately-owned companies in the construction, automotive dealership, real estate, distribution and oilfield services industries.

Jayton Sontag

Jayton obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2012 and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2014.

Since joining PAND in 2012, he has served a variety of clients from large corporations to small owner-managed private companies.  Jayton has experience in providing accounting, audit, internal control and taxation services to clients in industries that include automotive dealerships, farms, food packaging, equipment rental and oilfield transportation, construction and drilling services.  Jayton is also a member of the personal tax team and assists clients with person tax matters.

J.P. Szaszkiewicz

J.P. obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2012 and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2015. He is currently working through the In-Depth Tax Program.

J.P. has experience serving a wide variety of clients including heavy truck and auto dealerships, real estate companies, grocers, commercial restaurant equipment distributors, investment holding companies, and professional corporations.

J.P. currently serves as the President of the Golden Bear Hockey Alumni. J.P. also leads PAND’s efforts toward the Edmonton Light the Night Walk in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
